“Without Words” Dominic Ashworth Trio

A heartfelt Thank You to all band members:
Dominic Ashworth — Guitar
Dorian Ford — Piano
Alex Keen — Double Bass
A unique and deeply moving concert from superb professional musicians, sharing music drawn entirely from their own creative voices!
Dominic Ashworth — Guitar
Canadian-born guitarist Dominic Ashworth has been a vital and much-respected presence on the UK jazz scene for over three decades. His musical language is shaped by a rich blend of classical guitar, flamenco and jazz, bringing together lyricism, harmonic depth and quiet authority. As a composer, improviser and educator, Dominic’s work is marked by sensitivity, balance and emotional honesty, qualities that shine particularly brightly in intimate trio settings such as Without Words.
Dorian Ford — Piano
Dorian Ford is an internationally experienced pianist and composer whose music moves fluently between jazz, classical and freely improvised worlds. Educated at Berklee College of Music, he is known for his expressive touch, structural imagination and deep listening. Dorian’s playing has a natural narrative quality — reflective, exploratory and richly human — making him an ideal collaborator in music where space, silence and intention matter as much as sound.
Alex Keen — Double Bass
Alex Keen is a highly regarded bassist on the UK jazz circuit, admired for his warm tone, strong sense of pulse and intuitive musical empathy. A versatile and thoughtful collaborator, Alex brings both grounding and lift to ensemble playing, shaping the music from within rather than on top. His bass work provides the quiet architecture of Without Words, allowing the trio’s collective voice to unfold with clarity and grace.
