“It Must schwing!”
If you have never heard of this amazing band this is your chance! Highly respected on the Jazz scene, established in 2004. I am thrilled to be welcoming Nick Mills Blue Note Project to Twickenham Jazz Club and our wonderful Patchworks stage.
Expect an expressive display of love and devotion to the iconic Blue Note record label by some of our most experienced, innovative and talented musicians, garnished with a subtle dressing of humor, creativity and sheer musical genius.
Blue Note
The famous Blue Note label was Founded in America in 1939 by Alfred Lion and Max Margulis who were Jewish immigrants escaping Nazi persecution. It became the most prolific, influential and respected record label of the mid-20th century and is credited with shaping the course of Jazz, Swing and Blues music. Think of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Hank Mobly and many more.
Or don’t think at all just come along and enjoy glorious sound that had its heyday in the 1950s and 1960s but is still transforming musicians today!

Endlessly busy, incredibly popular and loved by audiences far and wide, Nick is one of our finest exponents of his beloved instrument ‘The Trombone.’ Cited as being the musical instrument that is closest to the human voice in expression and resolves, few master the art as well as he does.
The band:
