‘Near perfect vocal jazz‘ – John Eyles, AllAboutJazz
‘The singer becomes the song, the song becomes the singer. That happens so rarely’ – Stephen Graham, Marlbank
‘Sarah Moule has a voice that inspires and comforts at the same time. The quality of her vocals makes you realize all is well in the jazz world – superb’ – Sammy Stein, SomethingElse.com
‘Moule is the perfect storyteller’ – Clive Davis, The Sunday Times
Sarah Moule and the Simon Wallace Trio brought an exquisite set of songs to Twickenham Jazz Club. ‘Honeyed in sound, subtle in timing’ (The Guardian), Sarah is ‘in the very top flight of UK vocalists’ (LondonJazz). The classic repertoire of Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee features alongside arrangements of Holland/Dozier/Holland and songs by Simon and his longtime collaborator the late, great jazz lyricist Fran Landesman (Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most).
‘I got lucky meeting Simon. That he married Sarah Moule was a bonus. She’s the jazz vocalist par excellence’ (Fran Landesman).
Sarah’s 5th album, Stormy Emotions, was released in 2021 to stellar reviews on both sides of the Atlantic and featured in 4 Best Of 2021 critics lists in the jazz press. She spent six years as a featured vocalist with the John Wilson Orchestra, has broadcast with the BBC Concert Orchestra, appeared at jazz clubs and festivals around the country and has performed with jazz luminaries Norma Winstone and Ian Shaw.
Aside from his prolific composing career in TV and theatre, Simon has toured internationally with amongst others: the Lindsay Kemp Company, Imelda Staunton, Clare Teal, Ian Shaw and Barb Jungr.
Neville Malcolm is one of the most in demand bass players in London and has worked with Gregory Porter and Eric Bibb.
Drummer Paul Robinson toured with Nina Simone for 18 years, was a member of The Art Of Noise and more recently toured with Eric Bibb.
