A tribute to the greatest Vibraphone Players
Who better to take on a musical journey through the history of the greatest vibraphone players of our times than the acknowledge Real Age Guru of Vibraphone Roger Beaujolais
Roger first found fame with the legendary jumping Jive outfit ‘The Chevalier Brothers. He later joined the folk/Rock band ‘ Fairground Attraction’, produced many solo Jazz albums, and recorded with well-known artists including Robert Plank, Paul Weller, Kirsty MacColl, and Alexander O’Neal.
He combines his UK tours with regular trips to Rimini, Italy with his Italian trio and yet more recordings.
He was sharing his knowledge and love of the Great Vibraphone Players and his instrument.
It is sometimes to comprehend that Roger is completely self-taught, a late developer who learned his art by following his passion for his chosen instrument, listening to his inner calling, and playing with many great musicians, over very many years which consistently keeps him busy and in the public eye.
Suffice it to say there were great vibes at Twickenham Jazz Club Wednesday night.
