Ray Gelato
Ray’s influences need no embellishment with his routes in the R&B movement growing into listening to the great Bill Hayley, Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins and many more Ray developed his own warm-hearted, energetic style.
For 16 years Ray has starred in a sell-out show at The Illustrious Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club and he remains one of the busiest popular musicians on the Jazz circuit. His band The Chevalier Brothers clocks up 200 gigs a year. Ray annually features at The Blue Note Jazz Club in Milan, he has entertained Her Majesty The Queen twice (!), opened for Robbie Williams at The Royal Albert Hall and played by request at Sir Paul Mc McCartney’s wedding.

In his spare time, he has written a cookbook, started ‘Coffee with Ray’ and ‘Gelato’s Parlour Podcast’ during lock-down and produced a new album entitled ‘Locked-down but not out.’ Meanwhile, as a musician, he is still obsessed with saxophones, and mouthpieces and has breathtaking enthusiasm for life.
