Another fantastic Jazz Evening at Twickenham Jazz Club!
Martin Nickless All-Star Jazz Tentett presents: “Music From the West Coast”
Dispel the West London chill by soaking up some Warm and Wonderful Sounds from the 1950’s Pacific Jazz West Coast, presented by the UK’s finest exponents of this cool genre.
West Coast Jazz at Twickenham Jazz Club
The music evolved and developed largely in the 1950s on the West Coast of America and relies on composition and arrangements rather than improvisation.
Think Sun, surf and a more relaxed and formal style than standard Be Bop. Think of Chet Baker, Shorty Rogers and the Giants, Shelly Manne, Benny Goldson, Stanley Turrentine and many more. Think feeling warm chilled and happy in the intimacy of Patchworks Bar while the music washes over you and you enjoy a cool glass of wine or beer (non-alcoholic if you wish!)
