We are thrilled to announce that the Martin Nickless Tentett will be returning to our Patchworks stage.

Since our tentative relaunch after the lockdown restrictions, this phenomenal band has made a significant contribution to our development and has become an integral part of our program and club.

Their music, played by some of the world’s finest musicians, is engaging, thrilling, and inspiring.

It captures the essence of Clifford Brown, Gerry Mulligan, Miles Davis, Bob Florence, and many others, evoking a more relaxed and formal style than standard Be Bop. Think of Chet Baker, Shorty Rogers and the Giants, Shelly Manne, Benny Goldson, Stanley Turrentine, and many more.

Martin Nickless

Martin Nickless is a highly regarded musician on the international stage. He has extensive experience as a senior clarinettist, saxophonist, composer, and arranger, having worked on renowned projects such as the BBC’s New Artist program and American Big Bands.

Martin’s impressive discography includes playing and arranging for esteemed bands like the Chris Barber Big Band, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, and Glen Miller UK. He’s an accomplished expert in composition, having written some of the arrangements that will be performed, featuring the sounds of Clifford Brown, Gerry Mulligan, Miles Davis, and Bob Florence. The solos are sure to be breath taking.

Alongside his talented team of ten musicians, Martin is eager to deliver a captivating and enjoyable performance that will leave us all delighted and entertained on Wednesday night.
