A Warm Welcome to Mark Crooks at Twickenham Jazz Club!

It is a real pleasure to welcome the charismatic, versatile, and hugely experienced Mark Crooks to our club.

A highly sought-after musician, Mark is in constant demand as both a bandleader and sideman, working across jazz, big band, classical, theatre, and recording sessions on both clarinet and saxophone.

He has performed regularly at the BBC Proms with the John Wilson Orchestra and the Sinfonia of London, and in 2024 was featured playing the iconic clarinet solo in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. You may also recognise his stunning playing as the featured clarinet soloist in the TV special A Swingin’ Christmas and on the JWO’s Gershwin in Hollywood album, recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Mark’s career has seen him perform with an astonishing array of artists, from Tony Bennett to Sir Simon Rattle, Lady Gaga to Dame Cleo Laine, gracing stages from Ronnie Scott’s in London to the Lincoln Center in New York.

Currently, he can be heard with:
Jazz at the Movies with Joanna Eden
Jazz Samba with Nigel Price
His own quartet, touring across the UK
Getz: A Musical Portrait with the Chris Ingham Quartet
Manne–Date Quintet with drummer Matt Skelton

And now, we are thrilled that he will be performing for us at Twickenham Jazz Club!

A night of outstanding musicianship and soulful jazz awaits. We hope you can join us!
