Lovable, articulate and supremely talented Enrico is rightfully considered to be one of the UK’s top trumpet players.
Enrico started playing the trumpet at the age of 5. His father, the well-known clarinettist Ernie Tomasso had observed his son’s natural musical instinct and took young Enrico to meet many of the American Jazz Greats. Enrico soaked up some of the brilliant music of the era with a natural enthusiasm. Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmical and many more.
At the age of 7 young Enrico greeted Louis Armstrong arriving on a flight to the UK by playing ‘Basin Street Blues’ as he got off the plane. Louis was entranced by the little boy’s sound and it was the start of a lifelong friendship where Louis became both a mentor and family friend.
Enrico’s international reputation includes recording and playing with Scott Hamilton, Anita O Day, Ken Peplowski, Jon Dankworth and many more. He has a wealth of knowledge, multiple Jazz awards and incredible command of his beloved trumpet.
