Join us for an unforgettable evening of jazz with the sensational Enrico Tomasso, one of Britain’s finest trumpeters, whose journey into music is as remarkable as his talent.
Enrico’s love affair with the trumpet began at the tender age of five, inspired by hearing Louis Armstrong play Basin Street Blues. His father, a renowned clarinettist, introduced him to jazz greats like Benny Goodman, Roy Eldridge, Oscar Peterson, Buddy Rich, and Dizzy Gillespie. Most extraordinary of all, a young Enrico played for Louis Armstrong during his final visits to England in 1968 and 1969, sparking a friendship that would last the rest of Louis’ life.
A rich musical upbringing, studies at Leeds College of Music, and years of performing with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Ray Gelato, and many visiting American stars shaped Enrico into the world-class musician he is today. He’s shared the stage with legends such as Scott Hamilton, Ken Peplowski, John Dankworth, and Bucky Pizzarelli, and has been celebrated with accolades like the British Jazz Award for Best Trumpeter.
Expect a night of extraordinary artistry, storytelling, and the kind of charm that only Enrico can deliver.
This promises to be a truly special evening—an opportunity to see one of the UK’s jazz treasures up close in our intimate setting. Don’t miss it!
